Ah, December. Closing out the year is always a bit of a relief for me. This one was a particularly long and arduous one, but also very exciting, rewarding and overall wonderful. This month I made a point to push past my lethargy and get outside to get photographs. This month I got to experience my first Portland snow storm which itself was not very bad but the way the city handled it was disasterous. I went through my first freezing rain, which left my car covered in a thick layer of ice, something that I've never seen before and didn't particularly like, but who does? It's been more snowing in Portland than I was expecting, which reminds me of home in ways. I prefer the rain. I am excited to get to a new year and hopefully start working towards some of my biggest goals. I hope that everyone has a happy new year.

My first November in Portland was a little more rough that I would have wanted. I seem to never enjoy the month that my birthday is in which is always a little disheartening. Ususally I tend to be working in retail which means that the busy season is coming to its worst point and I am having to be at work more often than not. This season was no different. Trying to balance a strenuois work life with your real life is always hard and something that has never been easy for me as an artist. But I am blessed to be where I am in my life and I hope that I can start moving towards all of my goals. This month was busy and I was saddened that I couldn't find much free time to go out and take photographs, something that I plan to work on in the next coming month. I'm ready to start shooting Portland even more!
