November was a great month. The weather was so nice and pleasant and it's my birthday month so I am always excited. For my 25th birthday I went to Silver Falls State Park and saw some of my favorite musicians, Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus play as their supergroup, Boygenius. Here are the photos I took this month!

One of my favorite months! This month was so sunny and warm. Portland is one of the best places to experience Autumn which has quickly become my favorite season living here. Here are a few photos and Happy Halloween!
September is always one of my favorite months. From temperatures finally cooling down and trees starting to change, but still a hint of summer. Here are some photos from this month with a little trip to Mt. St. Helens!
It's been awhile but I think I'm ready to get back at it! August has been hot and smokey. Portlanders are stuck inside hiding from the sun! Including me. But a couple days of lower temperatures enabled me to get outside. Which is truly all I want from Summer in the first place. The sky has been full of smoke from nearby fires and historic blazes in California, and the current drought has left green Oregon a shriveled and sad brown. We are all praying for rain! Featured photo this month is an almost self portrait of myself that my girlfriend took on our hike in the woods, hiding the from direct sunlight. Band photos are of one of my favorite local bands, SÁVILA!
Here are a few photographs from June and July! It's been a busy couple of months, mostly just working and enjoying the summer! These photos were taken at Sauvie Island and the Colombia River Gorge!
April was the month that things seem to finally be looking up. Maybe it's the coming of Spring that puts me in better spirits. All of the flowers and trees filling up with leaves make me blissful. It has been slightly warmer but I am still looking forward to when the sun decides to come out and stay there. This month I finally got a new job, one that I am truly passionate about. It was so exciting and refreshing that I can be somewhere that treats me how I deserve and works for a good cause. One thing that I enjoyed this month was getting to finally experience the Tulip festival that is held every year in Woodburn, Oregon. Though slightly busy, it was so lovely to see so many blooms and types of tulips that I had never heard of. We got lucky and ended up having a very sunny day. It was nice to see some of the county in Oregon that I hadn't seen much of yet. Of course, most of my photos this month are from there! Enjoy the flowers!
Spring has finally arrived here in Portland. I am so relived at the sight of flowers and the few more hours of sunshine every night. Even more sunny days. It's much easier to get out of the house and enjoy myself and take photographs when the weather is more manageable. It's been another spring full of beautiful large trees in full bloom. I spent most of the days this month wandering the streets with my camera and spending time with my puppy, while of course continuing the search for a new job. It's been a nice break, I must say. I am ready for the warmer days to keep coming!
February. This was a month of big changes for me. I started wondering what I needed to do to make myself happiest instead of worrying about other things while sacrificing my happiness. So I decided to leave my job. I am feeling much more relieved and at ease. This month I also moved in with my love. It was a big change for me. It seems that if I've been neglecting certain things while I tried to get settled in this new place and now I feel like I am finally home. I always get excited this time of year because it seems like it is when all of the musical artists that I like decide to go on tour after a restful winter. I attended Angel Olsen and also I went to a show at the Crystal Ballroom that was a protest concert and benefited ACLU and Unite Oregon. There were multiple acts that were all incredible and prestigious speakers. My favorite band Sleater-Kinney headlined the event. My love and I also took a big step and decided to adopt a puppy. He has been a handful and definitely taking up most of my free time, but we love him to death. Anyway, I am very grateful that we are starting to see the first signs of Spring in Oregon and I'm ready for whatever the next few months will offer me.
This month was one of adventure! I made a vow to myself that I would make more time to push past all of my lethargy and get out of the house this month. Although, there were a couple weeks of very unfavorable weather, I still got out and about as much as possible. The sun goes down so early this time of year, for me this means accidentally waking up too late and hardly being able to enjoy any daylight. Although, this also meant more evenings where I found myself out of the house and more liking to capture a nice sunset! I finally went out to Cathedral Park to get some much wanted photographs of St. Johns Bridge. After spending the evening gathering rocks out of the river, I sat and watched the sun go down behind the trees. Portland surprises me with it's beauty all the time. I also spent a couple days at the beach and saw a couple glorious sunsets there as well. I was in awe over the way that the clouds reflected their colors on the wet sand. Overall, this month was a better one for photographs but much too cold. I am looking forward to when the weather warms up a little in Oregon!
Ah, December. Closing out the year is always a bit of a relief for me. This one was a particularly long and arduous one, but also very exciting, rewarding and overall wonderful. This month I made a point to push past my lethargy and get outside to get photographs. This month I got to experience my first Portland snow storm which itself was not very bad but the way the city handled it was disasterous. I went through my first freezing rain, which left my car covered in a thick layer of ice, something that I've never seen before and didn't particularly like, but who does? It's been more snowing in Portland than I was expecting, which reminds me of home in ways. I prefer the rain. I am excited to get to a new year and hopefully start working towards some of my biggest goals. I hope that everyone has a happy new year.
